Privacy policy
Version 1.0 · Last updated 24 August 2026
BEFORE YOU GO LIVE — fill these in. Replace every [SQUARE BRACKET]. If you are established in the UK and sell to EU consumers you may also need an EU representative under Article 27 UK/EU GDPR — worth checking once you know where your customers are.
The short version. We collect the answers you give in the funnel, your name and email, and which plan you chose. We use them to build your month and to email you when we open. We do not sell your data. Advertising platforms see that a conversion happened, never your answers. You can have all of it deleted by emailing us.
1. Who is responsible
[LEGAL ENTITY NAME], company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS], is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].
We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under registration number [ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER].
2. What we collect, and why
When you go through the funnel
- Your answers — learner style, chosen topics, minutes a day, how you want progress measured, which setting you want to hold your own in, and your age band. Used to build your programme and to understand what people want.
- Your name and email address. Used to tell you when we open and to support your purchase.
- Where you came from — the advertising source, campaign and creative in the link you clicked. Used to understand which advertising works.
- How far you got. Recorded on each step, including if you stop part way, so we can see where the funnel loses people.
Age. We ask for an age band, not a date of birth, and only to pitch references sensibly. The service is for people aged 16 and over and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
When you buy
Stripe processes the payment. We never see or store your card details. We keep the plan you chose, the currency, the amount, your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and whether the payment succeeded — so we know what you are owed.
When you join the waitlist
Your email address and any topic you typed.
Automatically
Our host, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request data to serve the site and protect it from attack. We do not run our own analytics and we do not build advertising profiles from your visit.
3. Our legal bases
- Performance of a contract — your purchase, your account, delivering what you paid for.
- Legitimate interests — understanding which advertising works, seeing where the funnel loses people, keeping the site secure and working. We have considered your interests and use the least identifying data that answers the question.
- Consent — advertising cookies and conversion pixels, and any marketing email that is not about a purchase you made. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — tax and accounting records.
4. Advertising and conversion measurement
We advertise on third-party platforms. Only with your consent do we load their measurement tools, which tell them that someone who clicked their ad reached a step or completed a purchase.
These platforms may set cookies and act as independent or joint controllers for that processing. We share a conversion event and, where you have consented, a hashed identifier so it can be matched. We never share your funnel answers, your name in plain text, or what you are learning.
Decline the cookie banner and no advertising tool loads. Everything else on the site still works.
5. Who else sees your data
- Cloudflare — hosting and database. Data stored in Western Europe.
- Stripe — payments, subscription billing and the billing portal.
- [EMAIL PROVIDER] — sending you email.
- [AD PLATFORM] — conversion measurement, only with your consent.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Some of these providers are outside the UK; where that is so, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.
6. How long we keep it
- Funnel answers with no purchase — 24 months, then deleted.
- Customer records — for as long as you are a customer, then 6 years for tax and accounting.
- Waitlist — until you unsubscribe, or 24 months of no contact.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Email [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority in the EU. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
8. Storage in your browser
We store your funnel answers in your own browser so you can close the tab and come back. That copy never leaves your device except in the API requests described above, and clearing your browser data removes it. This is necessary for the funnel to work and is not used for advertising.
9. Changes
If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and, where it affects you meaningfully, tell you by email.
